I am now making skirts!

I've made skirts for myself before and am now finally brave enough to add some to my site. I have lots of funky fabrics and will post some more skirts soon. I can make them maternity, or regular, whichever is needed. I can also make any of these skirts into baby or toddler skirts . . . just ask! I'll get on the ball though and list some more items soon! As always, thanks for looking!

Sling Safety

*Remember that it takes time to become an expert at anything - even sling-wearing. Be patient and you will discover the many benefits of wearing your baby.
*Sit down when you are first learning how to put your baby in the sling. It is helpful to be in front of a mirror also.
*Never bend over from the waist while wearing your baby. Bend at the knees or let someone help you.
*Be careful when doing chores. Never cook while wearing your baby in front of you. Fabric is flammable so keep you and your baby safe!
*Always keep one hand on the baby when you are first learning how to wear your sling. Make sure that the sling is very tight, keep that baby snug!
*Check your sling regularly for safety. If there are any tears - do not put your baby in the sling!
*Be careful while adjusting the fabric through the rings. It should be easy, don't force it as this may cause the fabric on the tail to tear. Thread the tail through again and do it right! Send me an email if you are having troubles. babyslings@mac.com
*Remember that you are responsible for the safety of your baby, not the sling.
*Do not use your sling in place of a car seat in a moving car.
*Be aware of heat conditions if wearing your baby in your sling in hot weather.
*Always ask if you have any problems! I am here to help you enjoy your sling.

Care Instructions

Wash it cold, Dry it low, Wear it out!

It's easy to care for your sling, simply wash it with like colors in cold water and dry it on low heat . . . or save some energy and dry it outside in the fresh air! Warm iron if you care to.

Pouch Sling Instructions

Helpful Tips

You may slightly adjust your pouch sling by folding over the fabric on your shoulder. You can do this by reaching under the fabric on your shoulder, grabbing the edge of the fabric that is farthest away from you and pulling it towards your neck. The edge that was closer to your neck should be on your arm.

Ring Sling Instructions

Helpful Tips:

After you place your baby in the sling, it is much easier to tighten the sling by lifting up your baby with your free hand (supporting her weight), then pull the tail tight through the rings. This is especially helpful with the lighter-weight Rustic Slings.

Remember to wash your sling before use.
